Mexico has strong and bright colors, between contrasting emotions and almost always irresistible emotions: as the splendor and drama of its millenary history, one of the ancient Maya or one of the most recent Spanish conquerers, and the supreme national independence. As well as the richness and suffering that even today coexist in a lovely setting, under the sky and natural beauty that cannot be described in every corner.
Cozumel
The largest green and blue island in Mexico is immersed in the Caribbean Sea, about 20 kilometers from the coast and the Yucatan peninsula. Most of his population is concentrated in the city of San Miguel and the rest is mainly virgin forest. There are the remains of the Maya villages and the island museum attests their ancient history. Another attraction is Parque Punta Sur, a protected area in the southern part of the island.
You can also visit the remains of pre-Columbian buildings here: Caracol is a stone building built between 1200 and 1400 to commemorate the birth and beauty of the goddess. Due to the particular construction of the walls, in the case of strong wind, the cracks hissed: the sirens warned the cozumel inhabitants of an imminent tropical hurricane.

Mérida
Starting from the center, it governs the Yucatan peninsula near the Gulf of Mexico. For the same reason, it is also an ideal base for day trips to the archaeological sites and the UNESCO nature reserves, where the fauna and the villages, such as Valladolid and Izamar, are known as “magic city” (Pueblos Magicos). Merida expresses the cultural mix expressed by the ancient Mayan civilization more than two thousand years ago and the Spanish conquerors from the 1500s. The Spaniards used stones of the ancient city of T’ho to build high Catholic churches and colonial buildings. After 500 years of coexistence, a cultural identity was born and the city is characterized by a continuous movement.
Obviously, food is one of the main attractions. Local markets, such as the lively Mercado Lucas Degalvéz and Mercado Santiago, are literally exotic fruits and vegetables.

Chichén Itza
Fifty kilometers east of Merida is located Chichen Itzà, one of the most influential ruined cities in Mexico. It is one of the most important centers before the period of Colombo and is a testimony of various architectural styles. The city has Maya and Tolteche elements, such as the Kukulcan pyramid (also known as El Castillo). Here, during spring equinox, the sunlight forms a serpentine shadow, which seems to crawl along the four steps of the pyramid. Each step has 91 steps, for a total of 364 steps, if we add the last and only step that allows you to enter the temple, we will totale 365 days or days of the solar cycle. There is also a space dedicated to the Juego de la Pelota, with stalls on the left and right sides.
The legend wants the winning team captain having to deliver the head to the losing team captain, which then decapates it.

Oaxaca
Bird protectors in this state know very well that biodiversity is everywhere: 70% of the 700 species of birds of Mexico live here, especially in the mountains around Hierve El Agua, where it is not difficult to observe. This area. However, there are two petrochemical waterfalls that attracted the attention of people: they are the product of liquid spring water that has been so rich in calcium for hundreds of years to be set in the stones today. The rocks were also found two natural infinity pools, overlooking the blue and the green of the mountains.
In one of the areas with the richest archaeological testimonies, MITLA stands out for its carved mosaics that fit perfectly and transmit unknown information to the afterlife.

Tulum
In recent years, tourism in the southern city of Cancun has risen dizzy. Young people know more about yoga than they know about the millennial ruins of Maya. Almost full of the atmosphere of New York, which makes it alive and shake it. It is divided into three areas. One is in the center of Tulum, and then on North Beach Road and South Beach Road. Although the northern region is the most frequented beach, it has the best beaches and is close to ancient ruins. On the other hand, the southern region expresses the Zen philosophy through its vegan restaurants, yoga studios and hippie style clothing stores.
One of the most iconic beaches of Tulum is Playa Paraiso, with its intense blue waters, white sand and palm trees. But even Tulum’s phone cards cost a lot of money. These are limestone caves, formed over time, submerged by water, and containing stalagmites and stalactites.

Cancun
Who has never heard of it? Cancun is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world and its fantastic beaches offer luxury hotels and Mexican cuisine at affordable prices. It is located in the Yucatan peninsula in the north-eastern part of the Mexican Caribbean Sea. The government has built tourist attractions for uninhabited places in 1970. It receives thousands of tourists every year, mainly from the United States and Canada, but also from Europe. It is divided into a central area, the other is completely occupied by the hotel, but there are also museums and even some Maya ruins.
Obviously the main attraction is the beach. The first are the most famous beaches, such as Playa Tortugas and Playa Caracol, one is more suitable for water sports, the other is an ideal place for leisure time and Playa Delfines is a place for dolphin sighting tours. Among the most popular night holidays, this is Playa Chac Mool.
