The best beaches for a relaxing holiday in Europe

What do you think if you hear about the most beautiful beaches in the world? The turquoise water, the white sand, the palm trees … Some of you will answer Thailand, still others the Caribbean or maybe the Seychelles. But have you considered Europe? An area that surprises by revealing exceptional beaches to lovers of seaside life that have nothing to envy to tropical seas! Do you want to play sports? Building sand castles with children? There are many Package holidays that will help you organize your vacation but today we will tell you about the best beaches to relax in Europe!

The Blue Lagoon of Ölüdeniz

With a teardrop-shaped beach in a turquoise-blue lagoon, set against a backdrop of high hills with lush greenery, it’s no wonder that the Blue Lagoon of Ölüdeniz is one of Turkey’s most photographed attractions. The white pebbles slide gently into a basin off-limits to boats, where you can practice many water sports. And if you look up you can see some thrill seekers paragliding from Mount Babadağ.

The lagoon is easily accessible on foot from the resort park and is separated from the main beach by a strip of sand. You will need to pay an entrance ticket to access it. On the beach there is a kiosk where you can cool off with a drink or a snack, and in the area you will also find a wide choice of restaurants, bars and other services such as showers and public toilets.

Nissi Beach

Within easy reach of Cyprus’ nightlife capital Ayia Napa, Nissi Beach combines a dream setting with entertainment for all ages. This beach of soft white sand and about 500 meters long takes its name from an islet located just off the coast. It is often a favorite place for young people who want to rest after a good night or are ready to go crazy under the sun of a new day. Despite its fame, however, it is also very popular with families as the water is not very deep.

There are public restrooms and changing cabins on the beach, and there are several restaurants and bars nearby that regularly host beach parties and DJ sets. You can easily reach it by bus, on foot or, if you are not in Ayia Napa, by car.

Golden Horn

Certainly one of the most beautiful beaches in all of Croatia, the Golden Horn is a truly unique beach on the island of Brač. Its peculiarity lies in the shape that seems to protrude towards the sea. The shape of the beach changes with the waves, currents and winds that determine the eastern or western orientation of the tip.

The beach can be reached with a very suggestive walk from Bol. In summer you can also take the tourist trains or water taxis that depart from the port. There are paid toilets, sun beds and umbrellas for rent in the area, and several kiosks where you can buy drinks and snacks. Don’t forget that naturism is practiced on the west side of the beach.

Praia de Benagil

Praia de Benagil is considered to be one of the best beaches in the Algarve, but it’s not just the golden sands and stunning limestone cliffs that make it unique. The most notable attraction is the Algar de Benagil, a magnificent cave bathed in sunlight that penetrates a single circular opening at the top of the cavity.

The beach is located in the small fishing village of Benagil, 6.5 km from Lagoa, and is easily accessible by car. Don’t worry about parking, you will find it for free at the top of the cliff! The neighborhood is not very well equipped, but there is a beach bar and restaurants nearby. To get to the cave, book a boat trip or rent a kayak or SUP board.
