Saint-Tropez is a fashionable French Riviera seaside resort. As for the beaches of Saint-Tropez, it is better to move away from the city center to find peaceful and beautiful beaches. Here a selection for you of the top 6 beaches in Saint Tropez!
1-The beach of Graniers
Of the few beaches in Saint-Tropez, this is a real gem for its desert and nature. Small spots of shade, a nice place to eat & drink, a sandy beach and pebbles rolled in the transparent Mediterranean water. In short, the happiness of a couple of minutes’ walk from the Citadel. Graniers beach is located at the exit of St-Tropez, below the Citadella. It can be reached by car following the chemin des Graniers. The entrance is immediately after the marine cemetery. There is a small parking lot with two spaces reserved for the disabled. This is the wildest beach near the city center.
Bouillabaisse beach is ideally located at the entrance to Saint-Tropez. The view of the Gulf and Sainte-Maxime is truly beautiful, it is also an ideal place to admire the yachts and sailboats entering the Port of St-Tropez. This sandy beach stretches for 500 meters, on both sides of a small point. On the east side there are mainly private beaches. The tip is the best area, with a beautiful view of the port of Saint-Tropez and Sainte-Maxime. This stretch is public and monitored from mid-June to mid-September. A carpet allows access for people with reduced mobility.
Canebiers beach is located about 4 km north of the city center on the Route des Salins. It is a sandy beach with a length of about 200 m. The Tropezians appreciate it for its ease of access and the pine trees that give shade. The environment is natural and well preserved: a small oasis of peace. You will be able to enjoy the view of famous villas, but also the Cap of Saint-Pierre and the Château de la Moutte on the right of the beach. We point out that this beach has become famous thanks to the TV series “Sous le Soleil” whose bar “le Saint-Tropez” is located right here.
Pampelonne beach is one of the most beautiful and famous beaches in the Saint Tropez region. It is also a natural and preserved place, surrounded by vineyards, bamboo, and pine trees. Here, more than anywhere else, luxury and champagne are found in the famous Saint-Tropez district. It is a unique place, where establishments such as Le Club 55 or Tahiti have made this beach a real institution. We point out that nearby there is a waste treatment center that can cause some discomfort during the summer season. However this area is less crowded and therefore pleasant.
This splendid beach owes its name to its clear blue waters. Located on the Saint-Tropez peninsula, it offers a breathtaking view of the Cap du Pinet and Pampelonne beach. It is the northernmost beach of the Bay of Pampelonne. On this wide strip of sand, on which private and public beaches alternate, the atmosphere is very pleasant, overlooking the Cap du Pinet and Pampelonne beach, which represents its continuation. During the summer, parking is subject to a fee. We point out that it is not very easy to find the beach, better to have GPS!
This beach is splendid: turquoise water, small rocky coves, a lively atmosphere. A beach in paradise that will make you feel like you are in the Caribbean. There is an alternation of sand and small secluded coves. A real paradise! Here no jet set! We point out that the beach is supervised during the summer. Taking the coastal path on the right you can reach some very beautiful small sandy coves.
