How to explore Tagaytay in 3 days

Tagaytay is best known for its dramatic scenery, unspoiled culture, and cool climate. Located about 60 kilometres south the capital of Manila, this quaint city is full of nature and surprises. A favourite gateway for the people from Metro Manila, Tagaytay is the quintessential weekend destination. There are natural wonders like lakes and volcanos, manmade wonders like galleries and amusement parks, and of course delicious food and many shopping options.

There are many things to do in Tagaytay that would appeal to a range of travellers. Here are some of the places that you must visit while in Tagaytay.

Day 1:

Start your day 1 with some hearty breakfast at Antonio’s. Their homemade pork sausage, gourmet cheeses, and honey glazed waffles are to die for! Next proceed to Taal Lake. Formerly known as Bombón Lake, this is a freshwater lake in the province of Batangas and one of the top tourist attractions in Tagaytay. What makes this lake unique is that this crater lake is formed on top of a volcano. Not to forget the breath-taking scenery that surrounds the lake. Next, you can hike at the Taal Volcano, which is the country’s second most active volcano. After a day full of adventure, you can visit the Tagaytay Picnic Grove in the later part of the afternoon which is best known for its scenic hilltop settings.

Day 2:

Today, visit the Sky Ranch. Located along the Tagaytay-Nasugbu Highway in the Tagaytay City, this amusement park is best known for its many adventure and thrill rides, the Sky Eye Ferris wheel, and many more shops and restaurants. As the day progresses, let the adventure continue. People’s Park In The Sky is another attraction in Tagaytay that you just cannot miss. Located at the summit of Mt.Gozales, this park was originally an unfinished mansion, hence the name. The viewing deck on the top will treat you to some amazing views. End the day with dinner at Cafe Voi La.

Day 3:

Visit the many churches, museums, and galleries of Tagaytay on your last day. Attractions like Puzzle Mansion, Museo Orlina, Pink Sisters, Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Don Bosco Chapel on the Hill, and Ina ng Laging Saklolo Parish Church will keep you hooked for the better part of the day. Do not forget to stop for lunch at Charito By Bag of Beans. In the evening, visit the Republic Wakepark for its many water activities. Featuring two lakes, this place offers courses in wakeboarding at beginner and expert levels.
