GEMINI ONE – Making Luxury Boat Living Sustainable, Beautiful and Affordable

GEMINI ONE is asking us to reconnect with nature and rethink how we live in major cities all over the United States. Asking the question, if there is not a more sustainable or healthy
connected way of living, and if luxury ocean living, because of the price drops in solar and
energy storage, can be achieved now cheaper than living on land.
GEMINI ONE is doing nothing less than building the Tesla Model S of the sea, a fully electric
living home with 1600 square feet that changes how we live, perceive nature, and saves his money.
Can luxury living on the ocean be cheaper than on land? That is the question EX Venture, the US-based Bali-operated investment company, is posing with their beautiful design of the GEMINI ONE floating home concept. The fully solar-powered luxury home with 1600 square feet of living space is fully sustainable, zero-emission, and challenging the status quo of sustainable living.

Many people in their twenties and thirties are earning less money than their parents. The housing prices in the United States have gone through the roof. "It is almost unbearable if you’re paying your rent in places like San Francisco and New York. I believe this because I’ve done it for years and have never had anything left over, no matter how hard I worked to help my career”, says Julien Uhlig, who is representing the Company.

At EX Venture, we believe that life can be completely different and live in harmony with nature. We can actually live a better, more luxurious life than we currently have in those major cities that do not want to wake up to the beautiful sound of birds over the sunrise. One of the most beautiful beaches globally, like here in Bali or in Palawan, Philippines, where we build major community projects.

GEMINI ONE has been built with one mission in mind: creating a beautiful open living space that operates in harmony with nature. The letters connect to others and build a better life overall while using our carbon emissions. The time has come to also be aware that climate change will be with us for decades to come, so we might have to learn how to live closer to the ocean or on the sea, and we are shown with GEMINI ONE that this condition doesn’t need to be a bad thing.

We are used to a balanced life that is healthier and more connected than the life we had living in major financial centers. With more and more people working from home, it allows them to stay for days, weeks, or years in remote locations. The Team of EX Venture will show them that this floating home can be taken apart and reconstructed anywhere in the world that offers a quality of life and is almost comparable to none.

When asked, the CEO of EX Venture declares that he doesn’t like boats because of the stuffiness caused by the small spaces. This is why we decided to make EX Venture feel more like living at home where people can stay for extended periods. It’s a sustainable luxury home for a large group of digital nomads, a couple of people trying to get away.

The GEMINI ONE is 12 1/2 meters long and 6.5 M wide; it is optimized to have a completely open floor plan, so nature can come in through all the windows from all sides, embedding the living space in its natural surroundings. As Julien says: “For us, nature is our star backdrop, so why should we clutter it up? For example, we try to create a minimalist living space or leave work and connect with ourselves.”

The Team of GEMINI ONE had to change the way floating homes are built, get out of the way, and let nature be the star. In the past, that kind of high-quality yachts that eyes have been reserved for the wealthy. The team strives to make that experience available to an entirely new generation.

The EX Venture team has been featured on media outlets worldwide, from Forbes to CNN, the Los Angeles Business Journal, Japan times, etc. The CEO, Julien, has raised and consolidated over $150 Mil. in the last decade; and has closed institutional rounds with some of the most prominent investors like Kleiner Perkins, Wellington Partners, Royal Bank of Scotland, and others.

What makes this project unique is that the adventure is more than just designing a novel
houseboat design, which would be fantastic in and of itself; the idea is to rent out structures, making it easier for people to experience it. Shooting what the seal of the adventure says, we are here to make this living style affordable, which is why we’re designing, financing, building, and operating the GEMINI ONE ourselves.

We have partnered up with Wonderboat, and we’ve been building beautiful boats for the last 40 years. We are also very proud to be making those vessels in Bali and hope to carry that unique spirit wherever they go in the world. This has the advantage of lowering labor costs and creating jobs on-site in building the boat’s captain furniture and more. Everything is custom designed and custom-built, but by producing them in Southeast Asia, we can make them more affordable for larger groups of people to enjoy,

GEMINI ONE is featured on a Kickstarter campaign and on Wefunder, currently raising funds to build the first boat in the Bahamas where people can already pre-book by a Kickstarter. We’re looking for the first generation of Kickstarter backers to make this vision of sustainable living come true. “The designs have been concluded, the shipyard is ready, so now let’s fill it up and create a creative vision that will carry us into the future," says Julien Uhlig, CEO of EX Venture.
