6 best beaches in St. Barts

6 best beaches in St. Barts
In the French Antilles, an enchanting island emerges from the sea, the beauty of which has been noticed above all by American celebrities. Enchanting bays, golden beaches, transparent waters and green hills make Saint-Barthélemy, for all St Barth, a real Caribbean pearl requested by tourists from all over the world. Today we take you to discover the 6 best beaches in St. Barts.

1-Marigot Beach

The Marigot Beach of St Barth is located on the northwest coast of the island, near the town of the same name. It is a beautiful beach of clear sand bathed by a splendid turquoise sea, transparent and crystalline, with shallow and sloping seabed. Marigot beach is especially suitable for snorkelers. Here the sand is scarce and the rocks are the masters. Often the sea is rough so I would recommend this place to quite experienced people. Local inhabitants love Marigot beach.

2-Flamands Beach

The Flamands Beach of St Barth is located on the north-eastern end of the island, in the wide and picturesque bay of the same name. It is a splendid beach of soft white sand like talcum powder, with a very wide and long coastline, ideal for long walks on the shore. It’s not very crowded, there are some small waves that provide a relaxing sound, and it was perfect for walking or jogging. The beach is wide and very beautiful. Not really ideal for kids due to the surf but if you like to hear the waves and do some surfing this is the best place on the island.

3-Corossol Beach

Barth’s Corossol Beach is located on the east coast of the island, north of the public beach and the port of Gustavia. It is a delightful light-sand beach at the foot of a steep hill. This beach is located in a nice fishing village so you can see all the boats in the harbor as you swim. There aren’t many people. It is a small beach and is the only one on the island with brown sand. It is probably the smallest beach.

4-Shell Beach

St Barth’s Shell Beach is located on the southern coast of the island, just a short walk from the south end of the town of Gustavia. It is a beautiful beach of light sand covered with shells, especially towards the shore, set at the foot of a rocky hill which gives it a wild charm. The beach is made of shells and the water is as transparent as a swimming pool. A real show, best when not too crowded. It is made from shells of shells and as the reviewer Guizzo has already noted there is a very strong reverb, even if the sand is darker than other beaches: high protection, otherwise guaranteed sunburn. The water is very clear despite the depth due to the “shelly” bottom.

5-Gouverneur Beach

The Gouverneur Beach of San Barth is located on the southern coast of the island and to reach it you have to drive a long time but it is worth it. It is a splendid wild and uncontaminated beach, at the foot of a steep hill, characterized by a wide coastline of superb blinding white sand, bathed by a limpid and crystalline sea. Few people, without infrastructure, only sea and beach. There is a small wood where you can shelter from the sun when it beats down. You can get there by car. Swimming at approx. 200 m from the beach there is the possibility to see turtles.

6-Saint Jean

Saint Jean Beach in San Barth is located on the north coast of the island, just east of the airport. This is the busiest and most lively beach in all of San Barth, really overcrowded in high season. This is due to the large number of bars and restaurants overlooking it, the numerous hotels in its vicinity and the nearby airport. Stunning water with thrilling colors, fine white sand. There is the possibility of renting a sunbed and umbrella which are not available on other beaches. There are restaurants, bars and water sports equipment rentals. It is very close to the runway of the airport so the planes pass very low and it is wonderful.
