Going to Paris for the first time?

Here you’ll find a short guide for planning a trip to Paris, for first timers, with all our best Paris travel tips.

When is the best time to visit Paris?

There’s never a bad time to visit the City of Light, Paris is always a great idea. The city has great parks and beautiful avenues and streets, it has also some of the best museums in the world.

High Season in Paris is considered from April 1st to 31st October. It means nice weather and more hours of daylight and many people will tell you this is the best time to visit Paris, even though it is crowded with tourists and the locals usually are somewhere else for the summer holidays.

Paris – View from the Eiffel Tower

Low Season in Paris goes from November 1st to March 31st, except the Christmas holidays and New Year’s Eve in Paris, we believe this is the best time to visit Paris to avoid the crowds; plus if you travel during off-season you will get a more local experience.

The city is famous for its cherry blossoms, so spring in Paris means lots of green and temperatures are fresh with frequent rain showers.

Summer is considered the best time to visit Paris with longer days and nice temperatures between 23°C to 25°C. You will enjoy the festivals and outdoor events everywhere.

The other season we suggest to experience Paris is during Autumn, you’ll enjoy the colour of the trees and the temperature is really nice, the city is not crowded like during the summer.

If you don’t mind the winter temperatures, winter in Paris is not bad. You can experience at Christmas especially the Paris Christmas markets.

Where to Stay in Paris

When you need to decide where to stay in Paris, it can be very challenging. Matter of fact, Paris is divided into 20 arrondissements (districts) which are also administrative divisions. In each Paris arrondissement, there is a town hall and a mayor, as well as elected officials, a council, a politician, and so on. 1st Paris arrondissement is in the centre of Paris, then the other Paris arrondissements are located forming a spiral turning clockwise, to finish in the 20th in the east.

Luxury Hotels in Paris

Your next step is to find a hotel where to stay. There are many hotels in Paris with different budget that are available to the travellers. If you are looking to visit Paris and have that distinctive feel, you should stay in a hotel with Eiffel tower view.
